This is my place. My heart, soul, blood, sweat, and tears. I’m so happy you’re here. This shop is the result of years of lessons, mistakes, and some of my proudest accomplishments.
My name is Jennifer Maier, and I am the self-taught maker behind BPG. Within my personal maker-space, I found joy in creating custom apparel for schools and teams, meaningful pieces for local businesses, and unique decor for friends and family. Whether you are looking for a complete spirit store for your organization or a custom brand launch for your business, I’m here to be your partner. I know small business—I live it every day—and we are in this together.
If you look at a map of Illinois, you’ll find BPG in Lockport, about 35 minutes Southwest of Chicago. My workspace is a true "home-grown" operation—flowing from my office, garage and basement to a spare bedroom (and occasionally the kitchen counter). I take all my own photos, usually chasing the natural light in my backyard or finding the perfect indoor prop during a Midwest winter.
I built BPG alongside my husband, Andrew. He is my biggest supporter, always ready to help me expand with new equipment or the latest power tools. For years, we balanced this business with the beautiful chaos of school and travel sports. We spent a decade on volleyball and basketball sidelines, cheering through every season. I’ve never regretted this path, as it allowed me to work from home while being present for our girls for nearly their entire lives—from carpools and practices to Girl Scouts, clubs, and every game in between.
We are now embracing a new, exciting chapter as empty nesters. With both of our daughters at the University of Kentucky, we have officially traded the local sidelines for the Bluegrass State. Having two Wildcats in Lexington makes visiting a breeze, and we’ve fallen in love with everything the area has to offer—from the historic vibes of Keeneland to exploring the Bourbon Trail.
When I’m not in my maker-space, you’ll find us getting back to the things we love: golfing, enjoying happy hours, and our favorite tradition—"Unplanned Sundays"—where we wander the Midwest to see where the road takes us.
Fueled by a passion to build the life I want, I continue to follow my arrow. It’s a journey that lets me enjoy life to the fullest while helping you create something meaningful.
